This custom in-dash iPad Mini mount was designed specifically around the factory dash found in first-generation Chevy S10/S15 trucks and related S-Series vehicles. Instead of using a universal tablet holder mounted on top of the dash or windshield, this system places the iPad Mini directly into the factory dash opening for a clean, recessed installation that looks like it belongs in the vehicle.

The mount was designed not only to look good, but to make the iPad easy to install, remove, charge, and secure.

Because these vehicles are now several decades old and many have had dash or interior modifications over the years, please compare your dash configuration with the product photos before ordering.

IMPORTANT – Choose the Correct iPad Mini Version

There are two different mount sizes available. You MUST select the version that matches your iPad Mini.

Although Apple has released several generations of the iPad Mini, they fall into two different physical body sizes for purposes of this mount.

iPad Mini 1–5 Version – Older Body Style

Choose this version if you have:

iPad Mini 5

These models use the traditional iPad Mini body with the Home button.

These models use Apple’s newer edge-to-edge display design without the traditional Home button.

The two versions are NOT interchangeable.

This mount is designed to closely fit the physical dimensions of the iPad, so ordering the correct version is important.

If your iPad has the traditional round Home button, select the iPad Mini 1–5 version.

If your iPad has the newer edge-to-edge screen with no Home button, select the iPad Mini 6 / A17 Pro version.

Clean, Integrated In-Dash Design

The iPad Mini sits recessed behind the front bezel, creating a finished appearance that blends into the original S-Series dash rather than looking like an add-on tablet mount.

The surrounding bezel follows the shape and styling of the factory dash while providing a large touchscreen location that can be used for your choice of audio, navigation, gauges, vehicle information, streaming, or other iPad applications.

Side-Loading iPad Design

One of the key features of this mount is that the iPad is not permanently trapped inside the dash.

The iPad Mini slides smoothly into the mount through a concealed opening on the side. Once inserted, the tablet is captured behind the front bezel and held securely in its operating position.

This allows you to remove the iPad whenever needed without having to disassemble the entire mount or remove the dash.

Two Retention Options

The side opening uses a removable retaining plug to prevent the iPad from sliding back out.

Two retention styles are available depending on how you intend to use your iPad:

Easy-Removal Retainer – Provides secure retention while making it easier to remove the iPad regularly.

Secure-Retention Retainer – Provides a tighter fit for owners who plan to leave their iPad installed most of the time and want additional resistance to removal.

This gives you the ability to choose between easier everyday access or a more permanent-feeling installation.

Integrated Charging Cable Access

A dedicated opening at the rear of the mount provides clearance for the iPad charging cable.

The charging connection can remain attached while the iPad is installed, allowing the cable to be routed behind the dashboard rather than across the front of the tablet.

This keeps the installation clean while allowing the iPad to remain powered and charged during use.

Glove Box Retention & Added Security

The mount was designed to take advantage of the vehicle’s existing factory glove box.

Once the assembly is installed and the glove box is closed, the glove box helps capture the mount and hold it securely in position. This creates a tight installation and helps prevent unwanted movement while driving.

To remove the mount, the glove box must first be opened to gain access to the retaining side of the assembly.

This also provides an additional security benefit. On vehicles equipped with a locking glove box, locking the glove box helps prevent the mount and iPad from simply being removed from the dash.

The mount has been road tested while driving to verify that the assembly and iPad remain securely positioned during normal vehicle operation.
